Context
Foraster Mallorca was born as a personal project with a clear purpose: to rescue and reinterpret the traditional Mallorcan shoe known as porquera, a rural shoe with more than a century of history.
The project combines contemporary design, artisanal production and low-cost sustainability, keeping alive a traditional technique of the island through the use of recycled materials: tire sole, canvas and leather.
The goal was to create a coherent and honest brand that reflected the values of authenticity, respect for tradition and responsible local production.
Strategy
Belay developed the entire brand from scratch, taking care of every detail—from the visual identity to the e-commerce—to convey the artisanal and minimalist essence of the project.
The strategy focused on maximizing impact with limited resources, prioritizing creativity, sustainability and efficiency.
Actions carried out
Branding and Sustainable Packaging
- Creation of the brand concept and visual system, with a typographic logo of industrial aesthetics.
- Development of a clean, honest and timeless identity, in which the materials and the product are the protagonists.
- Design of handmade packaging with rubber stamps and natural inks, aligned with the philosophy of sustainability and low impact.

Web Development and E-Commerce
- Design and development of the online store in WordPress + WooCommerce, with a simple, intuitive and mobile-friendly structure.
- Creation of customizable product sheets that allow the user to modify colors and materials according to their preferences.
- SEO optimization and connection with Google Shopping and Meta, expanding sales opportunities without the need for large advertising investments.

Communication and Visual Coherence
- Writing of the website texts and brand storytelling, highlighting the history of the Mallorcan porqueras and their cultural value.
- Product photography and art direction with natural aesthetics, Mediterranean light and focus on raw materials.

Results
Foraster Mallorca managed to position itself as a recognizable artisan brand within the field of independent design and sustainable production.
The project was a great personal and professional learning experience, especially in the integral management of its own digital business: from manufacturing and logistics to communication and online sales.
Keeping the project active without full dedication represented a challenge, but also a valuable experience on the importance of perseverance, organization and adaptation in personal projects.
The result is a brand that combines authenticity, design and purpose, demonstrating that creativity and sustainability can coexist with a limited budget.
